MISSing Angels Bill (MAB) Legislation - State Chart

The below states offering an official, legal document that includes the words Certificate of Birth in the title to the parents of stillborn children are considered 'MISSing Angels States'.

PLEASE READ - VERY IMPORTANT NOTE

Although they are both worded very similarly, a "Certificate of Birth Resulting in Stillbirth" (CBRS)and a "Certificate of Stillbirth" (CoS) are not the same thing.

Legislators, Policy Analysts, and State Health Departments agree, there is a subtle, yet immense difference in the two.

The Missing Angels bill believe that all states should record births as births... whether live or still.

Thus, the Missing Angels' goal, for those states that offer a "Certificate of Stillbirth", is to legislatively change the certificate to a "Certificate of Birth Resulting in Stillbirth" - which the Missing Angels bill views as a "BIRTH" certificate.
